Today, Zynga announced the official release of their smash hit, Hanging With Friends, for the Android series of devices. Current fans of the game will note that they can now play against friends, foes or random adversaries on multiple platforms. Zynga had been giving hints about the eventual release, as far back as mid-August and the rumor mill had been speculating ever since.
For those that do not know, Hanging With Friends is the family classic game of Hangman, with a social networking component. You can play up to 20 games simultaneously, while chatting and conversing with people on your friends list or within your network. The bonus option is being able to challenge random opponents to a match. Both Hanging With Friends and Words With Friends have been frequent visitors to the Apple App Store Top 10 throughout the summer.
The concept of the game is to first pic your online avatar. Once you have done this, your objective is to guess the word your opponent creates for you. There are a few lifelines available to you, in case you get stuck. Both you and your opponent are hanging on. If you are able to successfully guess the word correctly, you will advance to the next round and still hang on. If you guess the word wrong, you begin to lose your grip and run the risk of falling.
